Transformation Pertamina
24 June 2023In general, said Erry, this transformation can provide various benefits, both in terms of business and non-business. These benefits include that PIS can carry out business strategies and optimization independently through cooperation with various partners, both domestic and international. The cooperation is carried out as a step to improve reliability and operations in the fields of sea transportation (AL), marine services, and logistics. Through this transformation, PIS is also expected to be able to conduct financial funding independently through banking institutions, both at home and abroad. Then, the transformation can also encourage PIS to have professional and quality manpower. The transformation is expected to encourage PIS in transparent company management in accordance with good corporate governance (GCG) and to have reliable and efficient company operations. Thus, PIS can have good credibility and reputation in the eyes of customers and investors. For information, PIS has several programs with targets that have been set. One of them is the achievement of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) above 300 million US dollars. Furthermore, the target is to achieve a net profit of around US$110 million and generate revenue above US$2 billion. All of these targets are set to support the Pertamina group to occupy the top 100 companies in the Global Fortune 500 world with a valuation of US$100 billion by 2024. To achieve these targets, PIS needs to expand its business through sea transportation between ports in Indonesia and increase the transportation of export or import cargo, both for the Pertamina group market and outside the Pertamina group (third party business). In addition, PIS also needs to improve the service of shipping-related equipment. Then, PIS must serve offshore logistics integrated with port service managers, agencies, and oil spill response. To note, PIS also has a target to optimize logistics services with the transfer of six terminals directly managed by the IML Subholding. The six terminals are Fuel Terminals Bau-Bau, Kotabaru, Sambu, and Tanjung Uban, as well as LPG Terminals Tanjung Sekong and Tuban.
